After completing their warm-up for the day, students who did not complete their EOC pre-tests will be given a few moments to do so.
Students will then be introduced to EDpuzzle.com. They will sign up by clicking the red Google icon and using their school email address and password. Once in, they will be able to view a variety of videos and answer questions relating to each one. This will allow them a chance to get familiar with the site before having to use it for homework purposes.
Once students have completed their EDpuzzle videos, they will go to ReadTheory.org. They will once again sign up using their school email and password. From there, they will take the pretest that determines their reading level and, time permitting, take a few of the quizzes to work on strengthening their reading skills.
Finally, students will set up class twitter accounts using their first initial, last name, and period number for their Twitter handle. These accounts will be used not only to ask and answer questions, but during classroom Twitter Chats that will also take place during certain evenings for extra credit.
