Students will begin their class by completing a clause activity. They will be given either a dependent or independent clause. From there, they will have to find the opposite clause that goes with their sentence taped to the wall. Once they have both clauses, they will staple them together and identify which one is independent and which one is dependent. Finally, they will put their name on the back and turn it in.
After finishing the clause activity, they will be given 45 minutes to complete their Oral History Project that is due Friday. They will be given printed copies of the Oral History Background Sketch as well as the Written Release Form to turn in. We will then briefly go over how to attach all other files to their Google Classroom.
Finally, students in 1st period will continue reading the novel while students in 3rd and 4th will finish out the projects.
