Students will begin class by completing their warm-up. Once they are finished, they will work in small groups to brainstorm answers for the questions "What is poetry?" and "How do you analyze it?"
We will discuss their answers as a class and then move into our Nearpod activity. Using the site (Nearpod.com), students will pace themselves individually or in groups through a series of slides that introduce the SIFTT method of poetry analysis. As they go through the slides, they will follow a series of directions to analyze the poem "Elephant Hunter, Take Your Bow."
Finally, after finishing their analysis, students will work on their Oral History Projects.
